Why I am standing
LISTENING TO CLACTON. REPRESENTING CLACTON.
I am not a career politician. I am standing because ordinary people should stop only complaining about politics and start putting themselves forward.
Most of my family have lived in Clacton for almost 20 years. Younger members of my family attend local schools and relatives work and run a small business in the area.
I spent decades helping to care for my mother after strokes left her disabled. That experience shaped my work advocating for elderly and disabled people and later founding Mobility UK.
What I will do differently

Full-time representation
Being the constituency MP should be the main job, not one role among a collection of outside interests.
No party control
Judge proposals on what is best for Clacton and explain important decisions clearly.
Practical local work
Focus on healthcare, housing, jobs, transport, accessibility, crime and local businesses.
