Local People aims to make its website, information and application processes usable by as many people as possible.
The production website still requires formal accessibility testing. Please report anything that prevents or makes it difficult for you to use the website.
Using the website
The website is designed for keyboard use, browser zoom, mobile devices, visible form labels, clear focus states and readable colour contrast. The You in Mind controls can increase text and spacing, increase contrast, reduce movement and remove some decorative elements.
AI is optional
The Local People Assistant is not required to use the website. It can be turned off completely. Search, candidate pages, donation information, applications and human contact routes remain available without it.
Alternative contact
Visitors may use WhatsApp, telephone, email or the contact form instead of the assistant or an online process. Where something cannot immediately be made accessible, the team will try to provide the information or service another suitable way.
